All We Really Want Is More Time

time is money is timeI would like to ask you a personal question… Actually, I want you to ask yourself this question.

By the way, you can take your time thinking about your answer as there is no time limit for your response.

The question is;

What motivates you to succeed in business?

Now don’t tell me your answer just yet.

You see, I don’t really need you to tell me your answer because I am going to guess that it’s MONEY

…And based on statistics, I have a 3 out of 4 chance that I guessed correct!

Was that your answer?

Time is Money / Money is Time

Now, you may have chosen money as your motivator for attaining success in your business. However, it’s my firm belief that even though you want more money, what you are really hoping for is more time.

Think about it…

  • We want to be able to spend more time with our family
  • We want to spend more time with our children and our spouse
  • We want to have more time to do the things that we enjoy
  • Time to read a book
  • Time to enjoy our hobbies
  • More time to______ (fill in the blank)

Even though money is a great motivator, it’s the time and the freedom that time provides us which motivates us more.

Money provides us with the material things in life that we desire. However, without the time to enjoy those material items, we will never truly be happy.

More money is not the answer, More time is the answer.

We all know that our time is limited. We like to think that we have all the time in the world, but the truth is, all of us have a finite amount of time allocated to our life. Some of us will have more time than others.

It’s All About Your Use Of “Your” Time

The real winners in life will be those that utilize their time more wisely, doing the things that they enjoy, and spending their time with the ones they love.

How do you spend your time?

The majority of the world’s population spend their days working at a J.O.B. Now, don’t take this the wrong way, there is nothing wrong with working 8 hours a day at a job if that is what you enjoy. (J.O.B. – Just over broke)

However, most people employed in a JOB working 8 hours a day are not happy with their current situation. They either;

  • hate their boss
  • hate their co-workers
  • hate the work that they are asked to do
  • hate the wages they make
  • hate the time they have to spend away from family and friends
  • or worse yet… hate the J.O.B for ALL the above reasons…

Are you using your time wisely?

The Point of this Exercise

There is a method to my madness and why I wanted to tae a few minutes to get you pondering the questions above.

I am trying to get you to think outside of your comfort zone.

Many of us are content in our jobs, but there are also many of us that are not!

For those of you that live life each day wondering what tomorrow will bring, hating your job and not having the freedom to enjoy life because you believe you need the money. Think again…

What’s more important to your life, time or money?

Focus on one and chances are that the other will follow…
